NGO Overview, Mission, and Purpose: What We Are About and Who We Help
Our mission is to provide those living in poverty with health care. We work on ongoing problems with sister organizations that work in settings of extreme poverty. Partners in Health has two overall goals: to bring modern health care and science to those living in poverty and to help end the misery of those same people. We will take care of those living in poverty just as we would take care of a member of our own family or we ourselves were ill. We believe health and, therefore, healthcare, is a right, and it should be available for everyone.
NGO "Bottom Line": How We Make an Impact
Partners in Health is an NGO that emphasizes preventative care as an overall way to decrease the overwhelming amount of death due to treatable and unnecessary diseases such as cholera, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis. We help underprivileged communities by constructing and staffing hospitals and health centers. We are working towards providing health care to those who can not afford it, in countries that are quite poor. However, our work is not limited to the poorest countries; we work in the United States, helping those with HIV and assisting other health care organizations.

Why You Should Join Us...
PIH is an NGO that is working to bring health care to some of the poorest nations in the world. We are working on helping the people of these countries counteract treatable and preventable diseases that afflict them because they lack basic healthcare. Our NGO considers healthcare to be a right that all humans should enjoy. Because of our work, there have been many improvements on poor communities. One example would be our Maternal Mortality Reduction Program in Lesotho, which lead to a 350 % increase in facility-based deliveries. We truly are making an impact and saving lives. Also, we have made sure that the large majority of the money goes to the actual programs instead of into the pockets of our leaders. When it is all calculated out, the amount that goes to our programs is 94.1%. If you want a trustworthy and efficient NGO to work for, ours would be a great opportunity.
